The research fellow will work in the area of applied microeconomics and will focus on the evaluation of production technologies and natural resource management, with a particular emphasis on agricultural biotechnology and water management. This position is a two- year, fixed term appointment, and is renewable depending on performance and funding.
Essential Duties.
Conduct scholarly research on agricultural biotechnology with an emphasis on cotton adoption, biotechnology product development, biosafety regulation, and commercialization
Conduct scholarly research on water and irrigation management and governance, agricultural water productivity constraints, and equitable institutions for water access
Design and implement studies focused on institutional issues relating to biotechnology, biosafety, water and irrigation management in Pakistan.
Essential Requirements
PhD in economics, agricultural economics, development economics, or related fields.
